How to Play QuanQuan

Set Up Your Board
Begin by choosing your side of the QuanQuan board and identifying your playing pieces. Distribute the wool tokens across the playing pits, including the smaller dân pits and the larger quan pits, according to the game's starting setup. Each token represents a resource you can manage throughout the game.
On your turn, distribute tokens across the pits according to the game's movement rules. Think carefully about where your resources go and how each move may affect your next opportunity. Should you collect rewards now, spread your resources for future turns, or wait for a better moment? Every decision encourages you to practise planning, patience, and resource allocation - the foundations of financial thinking.
Manage Your Resources
Unlock Strategic Moves
Use special function cards to change the course of the game and explore different strategies. Depending on the card, you may double the tokens collected, swap the tokens in two chosen pits, or distribute a chosen number of tokens across the board. Timing matters: a well-planned move can create new opportunities, while a poorly timed one may cost you valuable resources.
Count Your Assets & Win
The game ends when both quan pits have been emptied, following the game's rules. Count the value of the assets you have collected and compare your totals with your opponent's. The player with the greater total asset value wins! More than a game of collecting tokens, QuanQuan invites you to reflect on how planning, timing, and strategic decisions shape your final outcome.
